A little while back I posted a video about an Australian art show called “Colour in your life”, presented by Graeme Stevenson.
I have been slowly making my way through all the videos – mostly concentrating on the painters (in all mediums), but also enjoying other types of art. I think it’s a very good show – and ashamed to say I’ve never heard of the majority of these people, but their work is amazing and in some cases so are their stories about how or why they became artists.
One I saw the other day is of this lady – Anne Marie Graham. Now look at that pic – how old do you think she is? I had her pegged for maybe late 60’s or early 70’s.
She has been an artist since she was a little girl – 82 years in fact! How amazing must it be to have not only lived through so many decades, but also to have done something you are passionate about. I love her style, and I love her outlook on life. She is proof that you are never to old to be doing anything – it is so important to have some kind of passion or interest in your life as you get older. Personally I hope I’m like her when I’m 90!
Anyway, if you’d like to see her painting and having a chat with Graeme – just click on the link below.
Below is just one of her paintings – the colours are just beautiful. You can see more on her website too.
